v0.1.2 Changelog
Alpha 0.1.2 Update!
With voting for the GMTK Game Jam having ended, I can update the game now!
Here's what changed since the submission period:
- Added Windows icon
- Minor change to A+ results screen
- Improved performance
- Rather than exiting the game upon completion of Level 1, the level is looped
- More accurate calculation of bad/good/perfect accuracy
- Lowered threshold to achieve an A+
- Player can now slip through 1-tile wide spaces
- Tiles now use nearest-neighbor filtering (they look better)
- General code improvements
I haven't changed much since the last devlog because I've been working on UI mockups. Here's a look at one...
(The background image is for demonstration purposes to see what a pixel art background would look like. The image is from Return to Reality, another game I worked on, and it was made by one of the game's artists, Caitlyn!)
The main changes from the game in this mockup are the gradients in the score/life bars and the font. Don't gradients just instantly make everything look more polished? Well, I think it looks a lot better like this. Pretty soon, I'll be changing the UI in the game.
That's all I have for now, so if anyone's actually reading this, thank you!
